How do you get your inspiration for the outfits you wear?
Lookbook, a whole variety of fashion blogs, fashion magazines, and my closet : ) I love coming up with new combinations of the things I own.
Who has had the biggest fashion influence on your outfits ?
For my sense of style, apart from magazines, and fashion blogs, I’d have to say that Blair Waldorf from Gossip girl and Mad Men in general has influenced me greatly, especially in the idea of refinement and tailoring.
What made you start posting your pictures on lookbook ?
I figured, I put so much effort into how I dress, I should record it. Should make for a few laughs in a couple of decades : )
What blogs and websites do you follow and why ?
Collegefashion – just for general ideas, whatnot.
Monoxious – I absolutely adore these girls, especially for their talent at wearing all black.
Pandora – I love the refinement to how she dresses, she always looks very well put together.
(in)decorous taste – She makes absolutely stunning shoes and accessories. The Shoe Girls Blog – for complete and unadulterated shoe porn : )
Would you describe yourself as a trendsetter or fashion follower ?
I probably wouldn’t describe myself as either – I do follow certain fashions, but I would never wear something simply based on its popularity, rather, current fashion helps me to update and refine my own personal sense of style. Frankly, I prefer to wear what I love, and if that makes me a trendsetter or a fashion follower, so be it.
How would you describe your style ?
Eclectic, yet elegant and refined. At least I hope it is like that.
Does the hosiery you wear dictate the clothes,outfit you wear ?
Some days, if I feel like wearing a particular pair of stockings (such as patterned ones or coloured ones), where the outfit really does need to be planned around the stockings, but otherwise, I usually just choose the hosiery that matches what I’m wearing.
What is in your hosiery drawer or closet ? It would be nice if you could take a photo and list the tights you own.
Many pairs of 15 denier stockings with runs and holes, and then essentially the ones pictured.
How do you choose your hosiery ?
Basically whatever I like the look of, I usually don’t worry about whether it will match the clothes I own.
Where do you shop for hoseiry ?
I usually go to ebay – patterned stockings here in Australia run at $15-20, whilst I can get the same product for $3-5 from ebay.
What was the last item of hosiery you brought, how much you spent etc ?
I recently bought a pair of blue opaque stockings for about $4 off ebay, I’m pretty excited for them to arrive : )
Do you prefer sheer or opaque tights,stockings or holdups,socks or kneehighs,sheer toe or reinforced ?
Sheer – it’s much more womanly, and more sensual.
Stockings - hold ups are fun, but they require too much rearranging.
I don’t really wear socks unless I’m wearing boots : )
Definitely reinforced toe, they last just a little bit longer.
Do you ever wear 10 denier tights or sheer hose if so how long do they last you ?
I mostly wear 15 denier, and they usually only stay perfect for a few hours, but I wear them at least a few times. I’m absolutely atrocious with tights.
How does wearing tights make you feel emotionally ? More feminine,better with girly outfits not thought about it ?
Definitely makes me feel more feminine, but mostly just happy since I can wear skirts in winter.
Do you physically like the feel of tights and touch ? Do your legs ache less, prefer than pants ? not thought about it ?
Never particularly noticed pants related pain. But yeah, stockings, especially new ones, feel awesome :)
When do you wear hosiery,daily-once a week etc ?
Probably 3-4 times a week.

15 Denier plain black stockings :)
What are your style tips for wearing tights ?
For patterned ones, experiment, or keep the rest of the outfit simple enough so the stockings aren’t overpowered.
How do you put on tights?
I do the whole skillfull bunching them up and then awkwardly jumping into them thing. I should really make a GIF of this, I look pretty funny.
Whats the strangest place you have put on hosiery ?
On a bus, in a bar....
Do you keep a spare pair of tights in your bag ?
Usually, no.
The best and worst things about hosiery, Love-hate ?
Best thing is that I can wear skirts in winter, and they give outfits a little pop. Worst thing is that they don’t last very long.
Do you recycle your tights if not how many pairs of tights do you throw away each month ? What was the last pair you put in the bin,trash ?
I go through a few pairs a month, and I usually trash the 15 denier ones.
