Over the past couple of months I have received many emails and comments asking about the tights I am wearing and if I am wearing any. Most of the times I don't even mention that I am wearing tights but you can bet I am, not only because of the cold weather but also because they just sometimes make an outfit look far more sophisticated! There are of course lots of styles and colours available but I personally prefer the sheer and black ones just because they look perfect with everything and because I prefer the attention to be drawn by the rest of my outfit and not the tights. But I will try and answer some of the questions I get most of the times as well as give you some of my personal tips and tricks!
Where do you buy your tights from?
Most of my tights, especially the sheer ones, are from Primark. The main reason for that is that I am very clumsy with the sheer ones so I prefer to spend less money and be able to buy more pairs if needed, but I also personally believe that Primark does really have some good quality tights.
Where to buy tights from?
As I said I recommend Primark for the sheer ones, I don't think there is a huge difference in the quality from other more expensive options. Primark also has a huge selection of different deniers (thicknesses) for both black and coloured ones.However if you prefer a better quality or more unique styles I would recommend Topshop, Miss Selfridge and H&M.
Any tips on how to style tights?
I always style the outfit like I would without the tights and then add the tights that look best with it. For example if I am going to wear bright/coloured heels I prefer to wear sheer tights, or if I am wearing a plain outfit then I would maybe add some colour with my tights. I prefer wearing black/coloured tights during the day and for a night out I find that sheer tights look better as I don't have to worry that they might dress down my outfit. Another tip is that if you wear sheer tights, always make sure that you have an extra pair in your purse, just in case anything happens to the ones you are wearing!
