Summer is Pedi time!

With the good weather, sandals are in order. Getting your feet ready for the summer is as important as keeping them in good condition all summer long. You don’t want to wear sandals with cracked heels, do you? I know we are now a few weeks in, but it’s never too late to start looking after your feel. Here are a few tips for getting your summer feet in great condition and looking their best.
Summer is Pedi time!
First of all, treat yourself to a pedicure. If your budget won’t stretch to a salon professional one, then keep it simple and go for a DIY one. Get a large washing up bowl and soak your feet in warm water with some bath salts. Sit watching your favourite movie whilst doing this. It’s also a great de-stressor. Whilst your feet are soaking get a pumice stone and gently rub around the heel and anywhere where you find rough dry skin. You should aim to do this once a week and, of course, you can also use the help of Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Pedi for a superb pedi experience.
Drying your feet well is very important, especially between your toes. To do so, gently pat your feet dry with a soft towel. Then, cut your toe nails. Use sharp nail scissors and cut across the toe nail. File the edges to remove any sharp bits.
Summer-Ready Feet And Toes
Your feet are now ready for some colour. Once you’ve prepared your toe nails, take a good quality base coat and paint your toe nails. Let this dry completely and then add two coats of your favourite coloured polish. A top coat will finish this off perfectly.
Once this has dried completely and is hardened, it’s a good idea to then moisturise your feet. Use a nice foot cream, with a richness about it. Rub your feet until it has soaked in so that you give yourself a little foot massage as well. You will be amazed at how good your feet feel when you’ve done this. You can try one of Scholl foot balms to moisturise and repair heels and dry areas. The Scholl Dry Skin Instant Recovery travel size Cream above is our favourite. Being this small, you can pack it with you when going abroad.
We know it’s summer, but you should try to avoid walking about with nothing on your feet, as this exposes your feet to bacteria and all kinds of nasty things. Flip-flops or sandals are a must walking around the swimming pool!
Your feet are now ready for your favourite pair of toeless tights and sandals. Which of our amazing open toe tights are you going for?
