Get Ready The Royal Way With Bridal Stockings and Hosiery with The Tight Spot
In case you haven’t heard Prince Harry and Suits actress Meghan Markle are getting married! We’ve been waiting for this day since the excitement of the last Royal Wedding in 2011 and can’t wait to see who is wearing what on May 19th.
A day that everyone can enjoy because we are all invited! 2,640 members of the public will be waiting outside Windsor Castle with the rest of us glued to the TV screen watching the couple and a host of royal and celebrity guests arrive. We all love a good wedding and the best part of it all is, of course, the FASHION, from dresses to tights and more.
To attend a Royal wedding there is a strict dress code and rules state that ladies must wear heels and hosiery must be worn! In the spirit of the Royal Wedding and upcoming wedding season, see our hosiery guide below – from the blushing bride to the best dress guests, we’ve got it covered!
FOR THE BRIDE
It’s tradition to wear hold ups or stockings underneath the gorgeous gown. If you’re going for a stunning lace dress like Kate Middleton we recommend Wolford Satin Touch 20 Hold Ups, featuring a delicate lace top and an elegant satin finish. These hold ups also have a silicone band for maximum hold around your thighs so you won’t have to worry about them rolling down on your special day.
If you’re going for a Summer Wedding like Pippa Middleton and want to wear some beautiful stockings we recommend Charnos Bridal Lace Top Stockings with a luxurious deep lace top, which is feminine and sexy whilst the 10 denier sheer leg is soft and silky to the touch. Look and feel fabulous on your big day.
For a more modest yet sophisticated style at your wedding, we recommend Cecilia de Rafael Miss 20 Seamless Tights designed to be as discreet as possible. These seamless tights will give your legs a silky smooth appearance, also due to the soft yarns, you’ll forget that you’re even wearing them. They’re a great accessory to your bridal dress for a Spring/Summertime wedding.
FOR THE GUESTS
Look the part with these hosiery trends that are perfect for any wedding.
Being a guest at a wedding is so much fun because everyone loves an excuse to dress up nicely and what better than a wedding to show off your fashion credentials!
Nude tights are the ideal partner for any dress giving a polished, beautiful finish. If you’re going for a classic Black or Navy dress like Victoria Beckham, we recommend Wolford Satin Touch 20 Tights (you can also get 3 for 2 in case of a run emergency), these pantyhose have a smooth, silky feel and a gorgeous shimmer finish to give your legs a smooth and shiny look.
If your planning on wearing open-toed shoes like Samantha Cameron but don’t want to be feeling any Spring chill we recommend Falke Shelina 12 Toeless Tights for the ultimate bare leg look to give your legs a smooth appearance. The best part is that you can wear open-toed shoes and not worry about the stitched toe of the tights.
If you want to wear body-hugging dress and feel body confident at the wedding of the year, we recommend Gipsy 10 Denier Tum, Bum and Thigh Sheer Tights that will give you an all over trim for the ultimate silhouette enhancer with a beautiful satin finish leg for that extra polished look.
If you want to jazz up your wedding look with the latest fashion tights the only choice this season is fabulous fishnets or delicate floral patterns. We recommend Oroblu Flower Daisy Tattoo Tights. These pantyhose feature a delicate, embroidery style daisy pattern on the side of each leg at different heights which adds a unique and sophisticated twist to sheer tights. An ultra feminine take of tattoo tights.

Wow! What a helpful post and a unique one. Being someone who is obsessed with the English Royal Family, I can always help but wonder what all their dress codes are. Now I have a slight inside into it. I really wish I could be there for the royal wedding, but it looks like I'll just be watching it on TV!
